The moment: Instrument Helicopter Checkride
The pilot: Paul Adams (left)
The place: Fleming Field, South Saint Paul Airport, MN (KSGS)
The aircraft: Robinson R-44
The memory: Taking advantage of Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits to expand my aeronautical knowledge and experiences. Started in March (snow and cold) and ended in October. Flying a helicopter in three seasons, in instrument training conditions, having not flown a helicopter in five years, and transitioning from a Schweizer to Robinson, made completed/passed check ride extremely fulfilling.
